The difference between regular drugstore multivitamins and the multivitamins of FFM are the dosages, forms of vitamins and minerals and the absorption ability/capacity of the product.

A standard multivitamin is made for stomachs and intestines that are completly unaltered by WLS surgery, these multivitamins are not able to be completely absorbed by the body as they are made for regular intestines which are fully able to absorb the vitamins and minerals.

The dosages of regular multivitamins are already too low for WLS patients but they are also poorly absorbed by WLS patiens, so the amount of vitamins and minerals that the patients absorbs is even less.

This means that using regular multivitamins can lead to deficiencies.
