Why does FFM use the citrate form and other brands use the carbonate form?
FFM uses the citrate form of vitamins because this form is absorbed more effectively by the body. This form is also not reliant on the production of stomach acids for absorbtion. (Bariatric patients have less amounts of stomach acids)
The carbonate form of vitamins and minerals IS reliant on stomach acids and this will cause a reduced absorption rate which might cause unforseen dificiencies.
