What happens if vitamin A is too high?

Vitamin A has an important role in the imune system, it is also involved in growth, sight and health of hair, skin, nails and the (tooth)gums.

Too much vitamin A can poison the body and this can lead to harmful effects:

-Lessened appetite, lowered eyesight, headaches, dizzyness, nauseousness, tiredness, muscle aches, eye disorders and                 hairloss.

During pregnancy too much vitamin A can also damage the unborn baby for some extra sensitive people. This is why it is sometimes discouraged by doctors and health professionals to not use supplements during pregnancy.
